I found switching from Hardware to Software in settings fixed all the issues with the $$ disappearing.

42k on Survival. Just had to grind to get up to level 40 with the same issue as Ovnidemon. Found a way to skip through the "Play stages" goal to make it a little faster. Great game even with the issues of having to grind to get to max level!
