Games like this have the potential to be boring and repitcious. Yet some people manage to pul it off and make a GREAT fun game. this is not one of them. Its boring from start to finish. Also the method of difficulty is not so much stratagy as time managment. Ding fries are done ding fries are done. this is like work not recreation. Could be god but it snot.
Also leave your Hell fire at 1 star so its cheap and you can spam it. it will flip the ranged minis up into the air and you can rush in and beat them down. Like the flower girl that throws the nuke bomb at you. evil lil monster she is.
P-Bot + tank+ martian ray = 80% all physical def with a freeze gun. any means of poison. some archers with stop effect bows and a 4th guy just to rush in and deal massive dmg once a boss is held. Even the mighty grey is easy to handle when frozen and poisoned.
the tank made allllllll the difference in the world. Higher levels have massive amounts of melee dmg. Mike T+brawler is the earliest means of def against this.
Well the key to winning for me was SMGs they have solid damage at both long and close range. and have the longest reach of any of the guns. so more guys can shoot at once. upgrade Armor but do not upgrade the gun. Just flood the enemies defenses with cheap units and you will rack up the cash in a hurry as you kill all his expensive units.
I love the look of the game but the game play is hampered but the under whelming weapons. The cannons should fire a little faster maybe +30~50% faster. The piercing bullets unlock should be either 50% chance to pierce on any hit or always piece on kill hit, up to X number of times. the anti missile turret seems to work ok. wish it was more useful like would shoot at enemies as well even if slowly. the extra Fire power would help on those hard targets, but you would need away to toggle it on or off or perhaps toggle it from attack mode to defense mode to change what it wants to shoot at. and thats as far as I got for now. its just too slow and to limited in game mechanics.
all in all nice art just needs more game to the art.
FYI there are skill points to spend. I played through all the stages and beat it before I realized this. 13 unspent skill points. the game presents itself so simply I never through to read. I was all wrapped up in the strat of the game and trying to take down YAMAMOTO! hehe
such a simple looking game hides an addictive thrill. I see the warning "FLAG SHIP APPROACHING" and my heart starts to speed up lol Sending everything I have against those super ships and just PRAYING it drops before it reaches my base. GO GO GO little subs kill that beastie battle ship! ..... CRAP its got depth charges too!
