Clunky, not very intuitive controls. Once you pick the wrong item, good luck figuring out where the "bin" (that you can only learn through the comments) is.
kingphilip10 - thanks for the info, but as I said "available further in the game" even if "further" means once you open your inventory past the initial tutorial and fight. It's assuming on the developer's part that player will want to play a male and maybe, just maybe, they will want to dig to find how to change it to female characters.
In times of games that offer "choose your gender" prompt in the beginning forcing you to play one gender in what's supposedly RPGish setting is a step backwards, IMO.
Suggestion: Female version of characters. It's not fun for me to play a bulky thug.
I see a similar comment has been already undervoted. If the female characters are available somewhere later in the game... well, many female gamers will not last long enough to see it. There's so many other games that offer both male/female characters as default.
I liked it, but the actual game play is almost an exact copy of Puzzle Quest game (released for PC and - I think - also PS3). Matching crystals to get mana, to use spells, just Puzzle Quest was more complicated and you were actually matching gems taking turns with opponent, which made it more challenging.
I like the game, although it's too random, building one's own deck would help a lot. And for the fact that to play some more you have to download it and then buy it - sorry, the game isn't awesome enough.
What about adding a female character for the sequel? I was kinda surprised, that I couldn't pick in the beginning.
Secondly - what is the hatchery for, since there are only three spots for pets. I'm in the jungle and still have my first one and I wouldn't swap it, since it's got a nice level already. By the way, for people, who claim the pets die too quickly: level them up! Go to the beach and bash sand beetles for experience - it's nothing for you, but it's a lot for a low level pet. It will catch up with you at least a bit (and maybe won't die too often).
Anyway, I would see the pet shelter being bigger, so I can have more pets (so when they hatch, I can release the lower level ones).
And inventory slots... I am a woman, I need a bigger bag! ;)
I agree, it looks like Amorphous+, but it's not that good. You can just hold the mouse button to fire at everything and the badges are revealed - one of the fun of playing Amorphous+ would be trying to discover what other crazy badge you can earn and how. And earn them by accident, certain mistakes etc. - that was fun. Here you can calculate, just looking at the badge: "oh, yea, I can make myself die within 10 seconds to earn a badge", just as soon as you unlock the whole category.
For not bringing in anything fresh and almost pure copying from another game - 2 out of 5. This two points go for graphics.
Lev 31 so far, I will surely come back to this game.
And guys... if you claim you know what it is, but don't know the word... There is an ancient artifact called "dictionary". You can even find some online :) (I'm not the native English user myself).
I completed the game a week ago or so and now I will have to do it again ;(.
What did I like in it? "Who built this maze? Your little sister?" "I am not shooting at you, am I?" and "Follow me, I see the way through". The rest is pretty the same as other game (and Portal tower makes playing quite easy).
Great game, I had A LOT of fun with challenges.
rooo77 - luck is part of all card games: you try hard to play the best with the cards you got. I never realoaded challenge because of the cards and here I am, having completed the "impossible" ;)
