Could they be less wordy? Absolutely. But they've got their charm, there's a reason these beat the threshold for badges. Gameplay does get slightly mixed up from game to game, even if all of them contain at least one interrogation/debate sequence.
Also, people throwing around "asset flip" to describe these are taking the term waaaaaay too loosely. Yes, the assets are all generic RPGMaker ones, but there's obvious effort put into writing them and figuring out a gameplay loop, which is much more than what can be said about your average Steam bundle trash, many of which are literal demos uploaded as they are.
@daexion: it's a an adventure game where the focus traditionally was on investigation, of course they're gonna be dialogue heavy. Hell, this one in particular is full of minigames, so it's not even like other entries where all progression is tied to paying attention and doing deductions.
I know it's past BoTD time, but seriously, the best strategy is pretty much to reset as soon as one of your army seems to be getting crushed consistently.
Play a bit first to get a feel for what you'll be against, but seriously all of your armies should be able to bear everyone with the right loadout and strategy. Having an underleveled army is pretty much suicide.
Art is great, but too many puzzles are of that subpar old style of "guess what the developer was thinking", including some mechanics which po out of nowhere and weren't shared before.
Hard badge is easier than it seems at first. Yes, it depends on RNG heavily, but scoring is roughly exponential, so it doesn't take as much time as it might seem at first.
Tip for anyone having trouble not killing the hunters: there's a brief frame (I don't think it's frame perfect, though) to jump when they're turning jump and avoid their shot or even to not have them detect you at all.
Oh yeah, I should probably tell people about Binaries! Hey folks, Binaries is now available on Steam, PS4, XBox One, and Nintendo Switch. It's basically this game but polished and with 101 levels. Please consider buying it if you have enjoyed this x
