1. I find the first 2 levels more difficult than the 3rd and 4th levels... Is this intentional?
They seem harder because the enemies are spawning closer to the middle I think or perhaps there are more fast moving ones? I can't really put a finger on the exact reason, but I know that I generally lose more health in those first two levels and then I get through 3/4 without losing any.
2. As much as everyone loves upgrades I don't think this game could use them properly. If you are going to add something along these lines I suggest powerups instead.
Have the powerups spawn between the edge of the screen and halfway between the edge and the castle.
3.I think there should be a healing mechanic, say beat a round without getting damaged = % of health back or something.
4. All in all it was a fun game to play for 5-15 minutes. I think I played closer to 20 trying to get the top score.

Ugh, there goes my entire strat of loading up on full mystery gear + pet + tree and maxing boosts to get more mystery points to max my pixel gain.
Anyone figure out how to increase the rate of these new green coins?

No autofire is fine and is purely a matter of opinion, the only people this will cause any stress to are the people with no pointer fingers on their mouse hands.
Also it isn't poor design to have you lose a level of your weapons when you're hit. It is just a design choice that you don't agree with. I personally enjoy games with a downward spiral element.
I like the game. The word BUY splattered everywhere in the game is a real turn off.
I certainly won't get any kreds ever ever ever and this game a good example of why they are bad. No one comes to kongregate to spend their money, especially not on monkeys.
