To Benstudios: technically, the games on Kongregate aren't free, they're just paid by the publicity that's on the site. Besides, the Kreds system is made by Kongregate, and it's been here for a while. AND the game's free. What are you complaining about?
I find it funny how people complains about a free game just because "parts of it needs to be paid". As a developper, they have the rights to ask you to pay for supplements, as much as you, as a player, have the rights not to pay for it. I personally think it is a wise system: you get a full game's worth for free, and if you like it, you can then think about either you want to pay or not. It's similar to getting a demo, but you start with a bigger part of the game to begin with.
It seems to be inspired by the game Bubble Bobble, doesn't it? Lovely :)
