I think it's getting too little credit from the rest of these players; however as Niranufoti said, you probably could have implemented lifes so that as the player get's further in he could be given a second chance. But then again, it's ludlum dare, I think with more time spent improving this game it would be a lot more entertaining. 3/5
A gun aspect should definitely be added. Mostly so we can shoot down the bombs. This would also give an excuse to add some sort of enemy or boss we can fight (also a reason behind the bomb throwing ;) )
You should add radiation (with the ability to combine it with metal to create nukes) and add some sort of slime/gel that slippery if cold and sticky if hot applied. Just two ideas.
This is much harder on Nitrome.com The reason they tell you to swing it in a circular motion is because that is what works best there. My high score here is like 6,500 but on nitrome it's 2,400.
