Now ruffles integrated into the site: is there a way to get it to NOT clear your data every time you turn off your pc, and maybe something for all the people who put money into the game before the death of flash. Did you just... wipe your servers of all the saves?
A few iterations ago, you clearly stated your win rate was around 5%, and that was the way you intended it to be. I genuinely don't see how. I've played roughly seventy games in the last twenty days, and I've won... twice. That was before the recent update, where I got to the joker with 30 energy and 7 gems, 176/210 life, and within 2 turns I was dead. Because his free draw was "remove 99 energy and 99 gems" for FREE, then he hit me with three attack+poisons. repeat for second round.
Of those 70 odd games I played, nearly a third of them were lost due to starvation because there wasnt a farm or shop on the branch I chose past the first castle. I really used to enjoy this gamebut now I've had enough of it getting more annoying each run through, from lack of food, to getting to the second zone and finding I can buy a first level bag of holding, a dagger, and four items all above 35 coins in price, it's no longer a challenge. I'm done.
Just got a message about an update to the game and went to do a 'daily' run. Didn't have any food to start and didn't get any food even though I visited 2 flea markets. And died. This wasn't even bad RNG it was designed that way. Can I rate a game lower than 1?
DEVELOPER RESPONSE FROM PLAYSAURUS
If you don't like it, then don't play it - I'm not sure why you are so angry we added that feature? Sometimes it will be hard or impossible, because it's actually randomly generated.
If truly random makes the game unwinnable, when if you don't follow specific paths to upgrades or food anyways the game can be damned hard, then that might be another area to take a look at.
Not trying to have a dig at it, because random over scripted can be fun. I'd be interested in a "reset from beginning/previous boss castle" if you died, so that an alternate playthrough on the same map/gear setup can be tried.
Is the additional 100 max life in easy mode the only change that was made? I know the previous update changed the frequency of some things, but I'm finding shops are only selling 2 food at a time, gems drop more frequently than food, and the random events trend more towards gems, pick from two things, and coins, but only 1 of the maybe 20 encounters so far has been free food.
I know this isn't luck based, it's all RNG'd but some runs through genuinely do feel like you have the worst draws possible. I'm still struggling to get past world 3 on knight or rogue, but that might just be the "luck" I'm having.
I'd played this through probably 40 odd times as something to relax after work, and now I can't even get past the first boss as a) I run out of food and b) my health is now basically in the gutter. First run through as a rogue, and the first fight got me below half health. Might want to consider that the difficulty level you want, might not be the difficulty level your players want. hence "easy" mode, rather than just medium and hard, which implies that easy is just that.
Just looked in tooltips. been playing 20 hours, energy is just under 10k, and i need to hit 100k to buy +10k? That's drastically put me off, as the most frustrating thing about this game is the numerous rebirths required to just get to where I am now >.
Necro is definitely easiest character to play. My only gripe is that if you pick up too many different types of darts, and then you get a weapon and your 8 slots are full, you can't move the item into one of those slots. I can sell it, but then I wouldn't have the weapon I want! Is there a way around this?
4 stars based on the potential. Similar to other games in this vein, it could stand out with some work. Something as simple as being able to go back to previous levels instead of having to constantly grind your mouse to pieces would be nice, too. Going to watch this one.
The toggle/lock feature for items makes it far easier to handle the inventory, thanks a bunch!
The only other peeve I have with it, when im AFK, the team automatically goes to the highest level, invariably get beaten, and use up all my healing items thanks to the auto consume. Is there any chance you'll be adding the level to auto as an option, like the original? It'd make handling the first few upgrades a little easier if you could mount up a small stockpile of food whilst making dinner!
Really enjoying it as a sequel overall :)
Great to hear! Yes, probably I'll change it so by default they raid the last selected dungeon, with an option to make them go to the last not cleared one.
I thought it was a bit confusing so I took it off! Nonetheless, if your inventory is full the lowest level item will be automatically sold. Also pretty soon I'll add an option to lock items (so they don't get sold when you click sell all), hopefully that'll make the inventory easier to manage!
