Also, I only got all the bones from Berkshire - on Cairo I've got all the objects and am down to mining level eighty hojillion, and no more bones are turning up. I'm about halfway through Borneo with only one bone. And the sonar seems to be off - it keeps saying "the next item is on this level" for one level after another after another, maybe because I'm popping back to town to get another dynamite and dynamiting each level?
You should probably change "You'll need $X and Y objects from Z" to read "you'll need .. Y *more* objects from Z". I got "You'll need .. 2 objects from Borneo" when I already had 3 and thought it wasn't working right. Maybe give the assistants a tab where you can choose which one to upgrade, too? I had a hell of a time putting the upgrade on the fastest one, with him zipping all around the dig.
There seems to be a glitch that prevents ammo numbers from showing up when you're out of combat. As a result, going into a new room often starts with fumbling for, like, the 8 key or something while trying to avoid the enemies swarming you.
After I'd used up all my accumulated health items, I just assumed the sixth battle was a plot one that goes to a cut scene after you inevitably lose. Kinnnnd of a difficulty spike there, especially since I've wasted my skill points on what turned out to be useless trash skills like triple punch and flamebow. Could use a little bit of tweaking here and there, is what I'm saying.
Why is a wave of splitters more dangerous than ten simultaneous waves of anything else? Why are normal towers ten times more useful than any other type? None of this makes any sense, and they player isn't given any useful information - even what tower types are available or what upgrade branches to follow to get a specific type. This may be fun to play if you're one of the devs, but otherwise, no.
Incredibly difficult and frustrating, compounded by the visuals and sound insisting that you're having a pleasantly relaxing zen experience rather than having your face violently rubbed in the dirt.
96% of the challenge of this game is necromancers, and only because there is no way to persuade a friendly unit to attack any enemy but the frontmost one, so they'll happily fight inoffensive and harmless skeletons forever while the necromancer cuts them down with magic. 96% of the "challenge" of a game being in the stupidity of your own units and the lack of control you have over them is Not Good. 1/5
