@YouTookMyName: No, it's a college level intro multimedia course. This is above average work for students in a course like this. What were your early games like when you were getting started programming?

@Erock3131: While retirement does have a certain charming ring to it, I don't intend to. You'll just have to endure a new project like this every semester that I teach this class (this is an intro class with no prerequisites, so yes, this is the general quality level of the entire class working together). I am actually really pleased with their work, being that the semester is only half over. Good work class!

@resterman: Lol, yeah, one of the students didn't quite follow directions on the theme voted on by the class. Apologies to those that didn't enjoy it. It was meant to be fun, and to give my wonderful students a link for sharing their creation with their friends. I think next time I have a class do something like this, I'll also put someone in charge of linking into the Kongregate API. It's be amusing for kills, points, and that sort of thing.

Oh lastly, I see comments saying "you did", though I should clarify that I, personally, didn't do much (I just glued everything together designed by my students).

@Muffin Man2: 1. Please don't send me poison muffins. 2. If you are eating people, then you have no oxen, which means it will take you thousands of days to complete the trail (assuming you don't die first). Start over and buy 12 oxen, set the pace to grueling, and watch it fly by. 3. While your suggestion for me to never make anything again was considered, I have decided to ignore it. I teach an intro multimedia class, and I feel that it is important for students to see their work posted online.

I see some comments on the graphics... basically they are the result of different students of mine with different levels of artistic skill. The class has no prerequisites and is a computer science course, so the emphasis was on project structuring, collaboration, specifications, and coding. That said, as the teacher I was really happy with the work submitted. Unfortunately, there will be no improvements made to this game. Maybe I'll get a future class to make a version 2 to address some of the issues people have brought up (but this is not likely). Good job class!
