Nice little game. I would probably have played it all the way through if I hadn't had to start again at the entrance to the cave after losing to the boss. I'd gotten all hearts (I can see they're still there, nice touch) so I played for a while already when I lost to the boss and this game didn't elicit enough motivation from me to try to beat the boss again when I have to fight through the "hordes" of monsters to get there.
It's a very interesting game, but sad to see so many small things that could have improved it be completely overlooked.
An option to speed up time if everyone is out on errands, a normal pause button while at the university (might just be me who can't find it though, sorry), categorizing of errands and quest (easy, medium, hard or perhaps lvl 1-5 5-10 and so on), retreat option while fighting, sorting of students by class, option of creating "teams" so you dont have to scroll through the list of students each time, and I'm sure more has been mentioned here. Without the above, its still a good game, just not as good as it could be.
I am completely enchanted by this game. Loved every second of it. The only thing I wished for while playing was that it was longer! Oh and also perhaps for the fat guy to be the heavy object needed for the switch. Favorited and 5/5
A very sweet game that I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Good controls, graphics and very interesting elements of gameplay. It must be said though (as many before me have) that the story is a bit underdeveloped. You could try implementing some build up throughout the game and some "hints", we humans "like" to make leaps of logic and be able to say we figured it out before being told explicitly.
Firstly; I mostly love this game. In the beginning I loved how frustrated I got when I had to try several times to complete a lvl because when I finally found the right strategy it tasted oh so much sweeter. By beginning I mean I completed all lvls without a brilliant rating. BUT (you knew it was coming), late in the game the last 15 waves or so of a level consists of holding in the speed up button and trying to ignore the lag while all enemies get killed at the entrance by my maxed out towers. That's not too bad though, I can live with that, but while trying to get a brilliant rating at for example lvl 20 you are so dependent on lady luck to get it. You NEED to get those mana pots and/or coins to win (as well as strategy). It's incredibly annoying that I can't beat that lvl with just good strategizing and have to depend on luck instead. I've seen several complaints about this and I have to agree it makes the game a lot less enjoyable (in my opinion).
LOVE this game! It's so wonderful! I was sceptical at first since I loved the previous one, but this one was just as amazing, and I have to agree with one of the top comments, the music does bring "spirited away" to mind, which I also love!
One thing though, tips/rules for the mahjong should be inside the game... I didn't know how to play mahjong, so had to find a walkthrough for it seeing as there was no hints (that I could find) in the game.
Thank you for comment. Happy to hear it. You have totally right - we should put some hints/rules inside the game - there even were some but we cut it away... silly us. And for the music all good words goes to Sergiu http://www.sergiumuresan.com
I loved motherload when I was younger, and still play it at regular intervals, so when I saw this game I jumped at it, but with not much hope.
To my infinite pleasure, it was amazing beyond my dreams! Some things could be better of course, but it's not really big enough to affect the game in a big way. The only real drawback for me, was that I thought there was not enough story. But taking the ending into consideration, I'm expecting a sequel! ;) 5/5!
This is the first game since meatboy that's made me hit my computer, ragequit for a couple of minutes only to return and repeat the process. I LOVE IT! But there is two things that really annoy me (except for the fact that I obviously suck at platformers):
1: I don't like to miss any of the story, but when I hurry to avoid spikes and such the bubbles dissappear before I can read them.
2. WALLJUMP LAG! Driving me insane! I press space, but do I jump? NO! Gah!
That's really weird. There's nothing different between the two versions. Sorry about that.
