The game won't connect. I know I'm not alone, because nearly all the people in the chat are having the same problem. Can someone from Kong or Ninja Kiwi fix this problem?
Great game concept, but the lag is a major issue. Also, when I got the easy achievement, I was forced to restart the page because it glitched, causing all the levels to show up and flash between the crowned complete and 10%. This also made it impossible to use any buttons on the screen.
I think they just tried to fix something, because when the update time changed in the game news, I stopped getting the error in Unity... but now I'm just getting a black screen.
Is anyone else having Unity problems with the game now? I've tried restarting, reinstalling Unity, and used another browser but It still fails to load.
While waiting, I decided to add up all the angel investor prices together, and then typed it by word (I was bored:P), and I felt like sharing. The total cost is 1,001,718,001,213,311,221,110. Written out, it's One Sextillion, One Quintillion, Seven Hundred Eighteen Quadrillion, One Trillion, Two Hundred Thirteen Billion, Three Hundred Eleven Million, Two Hundred Twenty One Thousand, One Hundred Ten.
My little lemonade stand now makes 2.7x more profit per second than all the others put together. I'm envisioning this little 4 year old girl going to the Oil Rig saying "I'm going to buy you out now, 'k ^_^", as she skips back home for bedtime.
I can see promise in this game. Encounter rate may be too high for some, but I've played higher on console games. The biggest thing I see though is controls. Pressing "i" will open inventory, but pressing it again should close the inventory too. Also, maybe think about allowing the "WASD" movement method to work as well. The battles could also use some keyboard keys, maybe "z" for attack, and "x" for run. This way, players could play with one hand, allowing for a more relaxing play. These are just some suggestions.
STOP KICKING YOUR TEAMMATE IN THE FACE AND SCORING ON YOUR OWN GOAL. These guys need a better coach. Though after 4 straight self-imposed goals, the refs decided that what this game needed was for all the players to LOSE THEIR HEADS (seriously, they had no heads).
Would game-play modes be an option for the future? Like "No Manager" mode, and you acquire double the Angel Investors, and you are able to choose a new mode to play during each soft reset.
I saw Reepworks request for a one button that switches to the next upgrade, and I agree that a new organization method should be introduced. However, I think that since some upgrades offer different benefits, a folder method may work better. With this, you have single icons that when clicked, only show those upgrades in that category. You can also include an "All" button to allow some players to view the upgrades how they currently are.
For those having problems with the Angel Investor purchases, here's a little something that may help.
1: Remember that the upgrades are NOT PERMANENT, but the angel investors paid are lost, so keep an eye out for how many AI's you have before purchasing.
2: I have noticed that if your total AI count is 50x the cost of the upgrade, it is safe to purchase. I personally wouldn't try purchasing unless you have at less than 20x, just to be safe (and so you can quickly regain the lost AI's).
3: The "+10" and "+50" upgrades increases the total number of that shop. It is easy to confuse them with profit multipliers. They can be useful for when you are close to the next achievement level, but just can't seem to get the cash fast enough. They are ONE TIME ONLY purchases per reset.
I hope that helps.
With the new update, it seems that everything now has double the wait max wait time (Example: Oil company went from 4 seconds to 8 seconds max). I don't know if this was suppose to happen, but personally, I don't like the doubled wait time.
If you are considering a complete reset, might I suggest giving all players who started before the reset a special hidden achievement that gives a good bonus (like a permanent +3% angel investment value) and carries over to all manual soft resets. You could call it "Capitalist Guru" or something.
At first, this game seemed like a good game to play while watching something. With the changes made with the first update, I've become really excited with the possibilities you've shown. Even with the issues and balance problems that came out of it, the update shows great promise for what you guys will be able to make out of this game. My opinion to possibly help out is single (per playthrough) rewards for something, such as (if you add one) a computer/game company reaching 1337, you will get a large amount of money and it's called "Elite". I also know that you meant to have things happen so that newspaper upgrade can be more expensive than the oil company, but I don't think it makes much sense. It feels less rewarding to pay more for less. That's just my opinion however. Thanks for making the game, and I can't wait to see what you will do with it in the future.
I completely disagree with the newest update (at least when it comes to the shop). When the cheapest DP pack went from 3 to 99, that is an issue that cannot be overlooked by the players. I understand raising the cost a little when adding things, such as from 3 to 6, but what just happened (if not fixed) is reason enough for players like myself to stop playing. I hope this was an accident that will be corrected soon.
P.S. The individual card shop timer is still stuck at zero, prevent any purchases.
There seems to be a lack of ranged variety options. What about adding a whip that has a natural range of 2, but can also open treasure chests at the same range as the whip (have an item that can extend the range as well). You can call the class "Treasure Hunter". Just an idea.
