My only real complaint about the entire game is that dropped items are almost never useful; might as well just drop gold and save the effort of selling them. Even the rare items are WAY below my lowest gear level. At player lvl 34, with average gear level in the 70s, drops still max out at maybe lvl 20, but average lvl 6, almost exclusively the "light" variety. If not for the sale price being significantly more than one gets from doing the level itself, I wouldn't even bother collecting the gray chests... also, considering the cost of gear, the levels reward peanuts.. after 85 levels reward still doesn't break $500/lvl, but gear is 4-5 digits.. This seems highly unbalanced.. But then I don't develop games, so what do I know?
poppe92, you can move in the background.. I frequently move my ship, open a menu like the shop, and my ship has arrived by the time I close it. In fact, it auto-moves your ship if you move it somewhere quite distant, open a menu, and close immediately, but you can only do this going from a gateway to a battle, not the other way around. Since you can auto-travel from the gateways, I don't see this being a problem.
