Once you reach level nine worlds the game falls apart. You simply don't have the resources to overcome the barrier, I had to leave the game open and running for a day to beat one level nine world. There's no way to advance with only nine prestige points - without research boosts you can't get the ship upgrades you need, without shipyard speed you're burning minutes between attacks (which *don't happen offline*), and without capacity upgrades you'll not have enough bodies to put dents in the enemy. Of those three things you need, with nine upgrade points, you can get, like, one and a half of them, maybe.
Without the caps on metal, crystal and alloys you can grind lower level worlds and *eventually* build up enough space to brute force your way up the progression tree, if you're willing to babysit the search menu or figure out how to use the auto-search.
Game still in development and very new, so things will definitely change, but right now it's hard to want to continue.
jaguatirico, That sets the maximum level of the research in question - for example, Scientific Method with max level 20 may be bought 20 times before it's added to the Research Done list. If you'd like to increase the max level of a research you've already hit the max level on, hit the slide switch labeled "Show research done" and you can increase it from there. You've probably already worked this out for yourself, but I hope I was of some assistance.
My previous comment aside, this game is a solid improvement on the original. Resource management gets LESS irritating as you progress, not more, and There's a better sense of progression with the new Mastery system. Very much looking forward to see this game grow. Good luck, dev.
Okay so, this game throws so much shit at you and barely explains any of it. It's a little maddening, to be honest. (I played the first one, by the way, just in case anyone thought knowing the first game clears everything up.) I have a few of questions, but here are the most prevalent: A few of the Mastery Upgrades have 0 explanation behind them, and given mastery points become harder and harder to get, justifying spending them on something unknown gets less and less reasonable. What is a "Prestige Team Up"? What's a "Better World Prestige Up"? What's a "Technology Experience Up?" They SOUND good, but I have zero idea what they actually DO. Everything else has the name of the thing it's upgrading in it (and also the thing is clearly labeled so the player knows what it's called), so they're fine. A tutorial, hell, even just a forum post with a glossary of terms or a tooltip would go a long way to alleviating these problems.
psychotikfrog Actually, they were asking how to merge two items, and called them 'the infinity cube'. So I told them to double check the names of both items they were trying to merge, because if they checked it themselves they would probably work out the problem. Then, just in case they actually had two tutorial cubes and had them mixed up, I mentioned that you can only merge items that are unequipped. I gave all this info because I don't KNOW that was the problem, so assuming and giving direct answers might not have helped. So pardon me for giving all the information necessary to solve the issue, I guess.
For Cinder54, you can't "equip" the infinity cube. Once you unlock it, you have it. Also, you cannot merge equipped items, so you'll have to unequip it first.
Check the names of the items you're trying to merge again, and ask a better prepared question if you still have issues. (Also, ask in the forum, so you'll know when someone's replied. I do not hold out hope for you seeing this.)
Not sure if this counts as a bug, but Lead Ink is prohibitively expensive to upgrade compared to all other inks. It's gotten to the point that I have to dismiss any ink order featuring lead ink out of hand, because it would take literally thousands of hours to complete for the same reward as something that would take maybe half an hour.
