If you get a new treasure or special item, or buddy and get murdered after you got them then you dont get to keep them, it looks like a bug =/ i defeated the king snake and got the whale buddy but i fought an ork that killed me right after and i didnt get to keep the buddy and the king snake wasnt there, also i uncovered excalibur and it shows in my treasures but it wont show in my equipment
