Very, very poor game.
I loved the first game in this series, but this game was kind of a joke. The main problem was balance. With only a few starting cash upgrades you don't even need the cash you get from killing enemies, you just fully upgrade a few towers before the first wave and then sit there for about 10 minutes watching the waves just go by.
There was a lack of information on what you were buying, much of the text was too small to be easily read, and the graphics were considerably worse than the last game.
Not only this, but there were quite a few minor bugs that should have been removed during testing - If a tower has a decimal place in its ROF or damage or range, there will be 5 decimal places, rather than just the necessary amount. Also, quite often a click will do nothing when you try to move, place or select a tower.
I didn't think it was possible, but it looks and feels like you made a crappy, cheap ripoff of your own game.
Pretty fun, entertaining game. But really, how did this win $10,000?
Especially since it's supposed to be the "longest lasting game", and it took about 15 minutes to get all the achievements. The graphics were nice, but nothing spectacular, and the sound was kind of annoying (especially the repetitive music)
It was good, but not good 10 thousand times.
I LOVED this game.
People are saying that the control system is "crap", but I haven't seen anyone say that it's counter intuitive. The "clunkiness" of it just makes it more genuine, and adds extra challenge to the game. The storyline was a little lacking - cutscenes of the events that came before the game's storyline would have made it much better. And I'm HOPING that the engrish was meant to be a joke. If not, then I'd be happy to email you some edited dialog if you'd like!
But overall, this game is great. Really, really great. The only people I can see who didn't like it are the ones who didn't want to take the time to get used to the intuitive control system.
I look forward to more collaborations from you two! =D
Fantastic. The gameplay was smooth, the controls were great, the music made the game haunting, and through it all, it was just heaps of fun to play.
One of the greats. :D
