I have really come to loathe this business model; an arbitrary, upward scaling timer for all important actions that can only be sped up through real world money purchase of a form of in-game currency unattainable through any other means.
I see this far too much now. Regardless of whether or not a game has a unique concept, is well thought out and made, or how likely I am to enjoy it based on my personal gaming preferences, as soon as I see signs of said "it's free but frustrating & lifesucking unless you pay" I instantly give up on it.
It makes it impossible to compete legitimately. I am far, FAR more apt to contribute in some form towards a game's development & upkeep if I don't feel like the game is designed to penalize me for not doing so.
