Why are some of Gump's minions unkillable? The boss cannot easily be defeated because either the 2nd or the 3rd spawned minion cannot be killed -- they take no damage despite shifting focus fire on them. I need to grind the first boss until my party levels up enough times that I can kill Gump before an unkillable healer spawns...
I really love how the art and music blend together to create an aesthetically pleasing game. The create portraits in particular were very nice. Combined with the simple but enjoyable gameplay, easy 5/5!
Damn. I'd been wearing my headphones over just my right ear for a while. Finally put them properly on both ears while playing this and the game gave me a fright. Thought I broke my headphones lol.
Here's a UI suggestion I haven't seen yet. Make the maximum amount for the cargo slider be the minimum of [current resource amount on planet AND available cargo capacity]. Instead of it just being current resource amount on planet. This way if you have more resources on the planet available than the cargo ship can carry, you can just scroll to the max to fill the cargo ship. Right now if you scroll to the max, the slider value is just the current amount of that resource you have on the planet, which is not useful as your cargo fleet can almost never carry that amount.
Maybe you already have this planned, but I would like to suggest an overview screen where one can see all their planets' resource and energy income/usage. Right now I only have a few planets so it's not too annoying to manually go to each one separately to see how they're doing resource-wise to then start planning any changes to cargo shipments. In the future I could potentially be managing 10 times as many planets, and at that point it would be just too frustrating to keep track of everything and I'd probably just stop playing. So for the overview screen I was thinking maybe a horizontal scroll screen, where each planet has its own text space and they are lined up left-to-right. But of course, a vertical one would probably do just fine too. :P
Please lower the volume of the "discovered" beep. It is so loud and sudden I had to turn my volume all the way down (generally I almost never need to change my system volume).
Turns out Sacrifice is an absolutely broken spell. Just get 20 Wrath on a Mutant, play however you want until you can get the Sacrifice spell, and from that point onward the game becomes a spamfest of just clicking Sacrifice and winning everything. Killed Waizer in 5 turns with the spell... Late game it deals 80-90 damage to all enemies, and it almost always stuns them since there seems to be a high chance to stun on high damage.
Also an interesting thing to note is that with 100 gems you can get 10% gem / kill. Without the gems in interest you can still get to like wave 50 I think, by which point you'll have gathered a good 200ish gems. Idk what the maximum number of upgrades is, but I guess you can just do gem farm runs until you can upgrade everything to max.
The best short-term (~100 waves) economic strategy I could come up with is to go for 3-shot kills (attack speed ~7.0 and keep attack damage at a third of the wave's health) with 10% multi-shot chance (and 3-4 multi-shot targets) and 10% critical chance (and 1.5-2x critical multiplier). Resource per wave 32 and all your gems in interest -- though only do the gems in interest thing after you've accumulated a lot of gems from research runs (runs where you focus on research and just play with 1-shot kills and low attack speed). For longer runs I imagine going for higher number of shot kills is more economic, though I've no idea what the sweet spot would be. I am pretty sure however that the overall most economic strategy involves high attack speed and 10-15% chance attack modifiers.
I think the timers would look much better if they were displayed in the following format: If t > 60 seconds: "Xm Ys". If t < 60 seconds and > 1 second: "Xs". If t < 1 second: "Xms". So 123.456 seconds would be displayed as "2m 3s". 12.345 seconds would be "12s", and 0.123 seconds would be "123 ms".
I'm saving your suggestions :) Thank you
