With this being the BOTD, I'm wasting time here again so gloriously. The 'silly little game' matches perfect witht the music.
Great way to put a smile on your face again.
I liked the game a lot. Art work reminds me of the better Nitrome game. Game is basically chess against yourself and the board :-D
I'd like to see slower text rolling, a button to repeat the last comment or both.
The (lack of) logic with having to light the candles individually etc make it feel more like a game from the 90's than the 20's. Main char is blocking waaaaay too much of the view, especially once you need the candle. It feels clunky to play. Had higher expectations from the retro opening.
Pretty annoying when the game logic doesn't even apply. Lasers will blow stuff up, except when it's bombs?
That was the last straw, next to boring and long animations, memory hogging for no reason and sketchy play. Good job bombing the game.
This gamer could be a fun one to kill a bit of time, but it's such a hardcore memory hog the exp is laggy and hard to time. Level animation takes far longer than the game play for the level, making it tedious instead.
Just got a message that a part 2 is in the scaffolds and came back.
After a couple of plays I actually made a good enough time to find dinner at home. So dinner, unlike cake, is not a lie.
