I don't know if it;s just me, but the controls are really unresponsive. I can press space all I want, but I won't jump. Next game, after I die, I'm jumping like crazy without pressing Space. GRRR.
Pete did not die.
Did you notice the odd shape of the boat?
The boat is, in fact his hospital bed. As he slowly becomes conscious, his dream becomes more and more realistic. The guts were his IV bags. They pulsated to the beep of his hearbeat monitor.
Furthermore, Pete is a small child.
This explains the spelling errors (Dore bell) and the whimsical aspects of the adventure (Talking bird, anyone?)
As for the characters, the bird is his mother. By playing along with his subconscious, she attempted to wake him up. The "I lied" line is his mother confessing about the "game", in case her attempt fails. (It doesn't.) The fisherman is a doctor. The big lady is a nurse. The little girl named Jon is the "Bad" side of his personality. The swinging boy is the "Good" side. Everything else is simply his imagination.
Pretty good, but I can't play for more then five minutes, the beginning is so boring. To boot, you're weak as hell, and grinding is exactly loads of fun, especially if there's a chance that that damn Sand Beetle will get two crits in a row, and KILL YOU. It even happened to me, and I can't afford (or find) any items that heal ME! It's really, really REALLY annoying.
Lovely game, but one problem. the controls are very bad. I press D. I cannot stop moving right. I unplug my keyboard, and I'm still moving right. Perhaps make it a little less sensitive?
Like to point out that the proper title for this game is flOw. Want proof? Go through a stroll on the what's-it-called PS3 store. Or search up flOw on wikipedia. :P
