Not bad, but I noticed a couple things:
Are you supposed to be able to have negative lives? If not, then you definitely need to be able to start with more lives. I'd lost over a hundred before what I guess was the end.
Also, have you won after you beat level 10? Because I destroyed everything with it and was then left with just my paddle and a ball, with nothing to destroy. If you do win then, there should be some indication that the game is over.
This was actually really fun! You should either add more levels, or make a sequel with more levels. Maybe you could add a little more of a story, too. But seriously, I loved the typing mechanics (although it might be a little easier if you didn't have to type the semicolon after everything)!
I'm glad you had fun playing it! Yeah I'm planning to add more levels, in fact there's an older, harder version that already had a few more mobs and a boss, that I need to re-implement :P. ( hey if you're curious to try it : http://josephlavoiedesign.com/Glitch1.7 )
I have a general concept of what kind of storyline would be going on, how the story would happen online, and you would be fighting cyber pirates and cleaning net areas from virus infections. At first we were supposed to have audio dialogues implemented, but I came to realize that would make the file size too heavy. I haven't really thought of how to implement the story line since then.
Haha, I'm glad you were open minded about the type mechanics, and enjoyed it! Yeah the semi colon is a reference to how in programming you have to type a semi colon at the end of each line of code, and it'll help my fellow class mates get used to it ;)
It's okay - it would definitely need more added to really be a "game". Also, you need to add jumping with the space bar to your instructions. I was confused for a minute before I realized I could use it to jump.
Okay, I finally got past the beginning, so I guess the colors do change, but I really wasn't able to see what was happening when everything was light blue.
The game stopping at level 10 was a bug that I somehow missed. It's fixed now though. Thanks for playing!
