Nicely done picross game. The flashy effects and unlockable extras kind of got in the way for me, but I can see the appeal of them, so I can't speak too harshly about them. However, having a "wrap-around" feature on the keyboard controls while in a puzzle is something that should be removed. I've only been playing for maybe 30 minutes and it's already caused me to slip up and mistakenly fill a box I'd already marked off a number of times, which makes the completionist in me demand I start the puzzle over. Additionally, I think it'd be nice if marked off spaces and filled in spaces had the same logic (you can't go directly from one to the other), so it's less likely to make a "mistake" by attempting to fill in a space you have marked off. Anyhow, just my 2 cents' worth, and it's still a pretty nice game overall. 4/5 and keep up the good work!

Thought I'd post this to reinforce the comments I've seen along the same lines. I've noticed that the longer I have the game open in my browser window, the more memory flash player takes up, and the slower my flash player runs as a result. If this is a common issue, are there any settings I should change to prevent it? Otherwise, it seems to me like problem with forgetting to free memory somewhere, but I'm not terribly familiar with ActionScript (which I assume this is written in) or how much garbage collection it automates and how much it expects you to do yourself. Definitely recommend the devs take a look either way, because this much memory for a flash game seems pretty unreasonable either way. If it helps, memory usage seems to grow most, without appropriate decline afterwards, while going through a match, so maybe start looking there in the code?

Excellent little game with an excellent and heartwarming story. It's rare to see a gem like this that takes (in my opinion) the somewhat stale "Find the X" genre and spices it up with beautiful explorable environments and lovingly crafted set pieces. Games like these make me want to shout from the rooftops how proud I am of the developer community for having the guts to make something unique like this and lay it out in front of the world.

Have to echo the other posters and point out that a huge amount of luck is needed in order to maintain a streak long enough in the last 3 courses to brute force the last 2 holes with a set of wild cards. I get that it's a large aspect of the game, and I imagine the full version likely offers ways to mitigate it (I believe there's a reply from the developer mentioning a club house where you can get macguffins to help you out), but as it stands, giving prospective buyers a frustrating experience in repetition and saying "Hey! This can be less frustrating if you give us money!" is less appealing than a fun experience that can be made even more fun for a fair price. Then again, I DID keep running the last 3 courses until I 3-starred everything, so maybe I'm too stubborn for my own design sensibilities to apply. Gotta give it a 5/5, since even with the randomness, SOMETHING kept me plugging away at it.

Not normally a fan of "Toss the " games, but this one (and its predecessor) are just too damn good to pass up. Great music, bright, colorful, and funny visuals, and just the right amount of in-flight planning and interaction. Keep up the great work!

There appears to be a lingering bug with rage of souls spell for the necromancer. When the spell is used, its effects take place (damage and lifegain), but the cost is not deducted from your death power, and it doesn't appear to constitute your action for the turn. I doubt this was the intended effect, seeing how broken something like that would be, so I figured I should probably say something about it.

Fun game with an excellent narrative. Kinda reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus in story and mechanics. Both have a powerful (and eventually discovered to be evil) force that offers to reverse a personal tragedy in exchange for a task that will free them, and both have a (relatively) large world with an emphasis on exploration and mechanics that enhance your ability to do so. Absolutely top-notch. Fav'd and 5'd.

This game needs to focus itself more; as it is, it's undecided as to what its core mechanic is, and suffers because of that. The game basically tells you, "use explosives to win", but then punishes you for using explosives when hostages are caught through the wall in the very fickle blast radius. I can't have fun with destructible environments if I have to worry about bad AI getting caught in a circle that fluctuates in size to frustrate the player. Additionally, the AI paths were a mess, and in every level I encountered a situation where a hostage would be following the same path as the guard in their room, making it impossible to save the hostage or kill the guard. So then I have sit there for a minute, breaking the flow of game play, waiting for the paths to stop syncing up. Further, it was extremely difficult to coax guards out of the rooms they were stationed in, making it unfeasible to use explosives on them, since the hostage was easily within the blast radius.
