Overall a good game, 3 Stars:
4 Farms just doesn't seem to be enough after you purchase all the upgrades. You have an odd balance where you don't have production=output. I always have excess or not enough being made.
Sunflowers seem useless because Ratatouille earns more, but fields have to be: 1 Carrot, 1 Pumpkin, 2 Tomato, when using all 4 ovens to make Ratatouille. Now I'm having to sell off excess tomatoes because 1 field isn't enough.
Is there a way/There should be a way to choose to use only 25%/50% of your food/money to purchase units. Sometimes I only want to buy 500K of 2 types of units rather than 1 million of 1 type. Or 10 million units of each at a time rather than 50 million of only 1 type.
Still one of my favourite idle games. Having server side saves is a wonderful thing (work can get boring)! Other idle games I like have local/cached saves or "export" saves, which is meh.
I hope you mobile version will have the same!
Loving the expanded workshop space.
Idea: Drag and drop multiple items? Moving 1 by 1 is tedious and if I could highlight a chunk of them to move all at once would be convenient.
Is there a way to make use of the dozens/hundreds of duplicate items we can? Can they be traded for gold or crafted for better gear? Or are they simply disposable with no use??
This game looks to have great potential, and I could probably list dozens of ideas, but let's try and keep a few to shoot for:
1. Oddly enough, take a look at some of the more popular "idle" games and take notes from them. Maybe find some ideas you like from playing them. (This is just how making "good" games goes).
2. Along with $$$/s on each resource, have an overall total (maybe underneath the current $ total)
3. Autosave; but that's a given that you've already addressed.
4. Something to interact with while non-idle. Give players something to keep them busy while they are active. Rather than just a boost toggle. Like "click for +$" would allow for more upgrades too. Or a little mini game. Explore!
5. Think of an end game. Idles are fun and prestige and all that, but do you have a goal in mind? If not, you'll lose people after a couple prestige points.
5 ideas sounds good. Just because you have an idle game doesn't mean you should neglect visual appeal (ok 6 tips). Good work though!
Thanks for the comments and I do have a lot of features planned but I decided that as a solo dev at some point you need to get something out there. So Feature upgrades are on the way once the critical defects get shaken out.
I'm seeing a bug show up since the Alchemy event. Every so often the research tab doesn't update properly to show the next upcoming item. It still seems to update and add items if I have the auto-build feature on, but I can't see/click new items unless I reset progress or reload the game.
I was able to reproduce a bug in the research list that was caused by the Auto-Build running in the inactive (invisible) tab. I've just published an update with a bugfix, but please create a bug report, when you encounter this bug again.
