People are allowed to not like something for whatever reason they choose. If everyone was the perfect critic, voting absolutely and disregarding personal preferences and wants, we wouldn’t have target audiences. Also, i’d just like to add, I like free games, and so I come to a free game portal to play free games. Paying Kreds is the last thing I want to do when I come here. Yes, game developers have to eat, but game developers also have to understand what they’re getting themselves into when developing games to an audience who expects free content. show less

Aug 20, 2010 9:10am Rating 1/5 for games that are intended for girls (and such) is legitimate. It’s like if I made a game and said it’s only appealing to convicted murderers, and for that reason, other people do not have a fair say. It’s like if I made a game and said it’s only appealing to convicted murderers, and for that reason, other people do not have a fair say. A game that appeals to 10% of the market should accept the fact that the other 90% won’t like it. When I vote for games, I consider the contests, and whether I feel I want that developer to inch a little closer to making a bit more money, or not. I do not want people who make something that doesn’t appeal to my tastes in the slightest to succeed. Again, same with “clone” games. I feel a game that does almost nothing original (unless it is a similar sequel by the same dev) shouldn’t make money. About games being too difficult, again, that is an influence. I would rate starcraft 2 fairly low (aka not recommend it) because of the difficulty. Not to say it isn’t a good game. 1/5 or 5/5 is the only way someone as lazy as me can influence the marketplace of ideas. If I enjoy a game, It gets a high rating, if I do not, it gets a low rating. Being intended for a different audience doesn’t make me forgive the fact it’s an unlikable game. Yes, I’m very bored today. Peace. show less

Let’s have a category named female friendly so that girls could be lead in that direction and so that guys can avoid those games, like strategists play strategy games and shooters can play action games. On everything else, I think you just need to consider the perspectives of other people and just not participate in the marketplace. You’re not helping the gaming industry by rating a game low without backing it up with more than three words of evidence. You don’t have to pay to help the developers, you just need to give them some advice or explain whats wrong with the game. show less

I put at least 3 stars when I vote, because the developers spent time, and effort on a game that their posting on a site for free, just so we can play them, it means a lot.
