Also, having a basic equippable sword and shield could be neat. Like, press a hotkey and the sword would jab out creating a temporary killbox, or preventing this measure by holding down a key to use a shield. This could be used for trolling, but would only really be unintended in a free edit scenario where victims of griefers could simply use a health effect.
I stand by what MariaB131 said. I really liked the level system, and it was a fun way to increase max energy, especially seeing as the people who buy stuff from the shop and build with it use energy the most, and they're probably the worst candidates for completing a campaign. I feel like there should be some incentive to play community levels as well, not just 'Dev's Top Picks'.
man boy howd i remember playing this game in 2014 when it was real fun and i got the grandmaster rank and felt so proud
this game is still super fun, if not more so, i think the issue is that people who played a lot moved to bigger and often more fun games

Get a memorial tombstone and a canlestick out. Light the candlestick and a message should come up about a keyboard coming out of nowhere. Now, tipe 'buffdoll' repeatedly as many times as you can. Make sure your mouse is in the middle of the screen. Buffdoll will then spawn at your cursor. Have fun :3
