The game is great and one of my favorite idlers right now, but the interface feels clunky to my tastes. Buttons can be obscured by scrolling. Scrolling wouldn't be so bad if scrolling when the mouse is hovering over a tooltip wouldn't cause the whole webpage to scroll. In the forge, the buttons arrows to select heroes should always be visible. A very welcome feature could be if there were a "simple view" that you can toggle for the right-most information bar. After spending more than a day playing the game, the text reading "Gold & Inventory", "Guild Workers", etc, becomes information that is no longer needed and just gets in the way. A simpler view just showing the icons and values could alleviate the need to scroll constantly to read the bar.
What does it mean when it says this game has not been verified for compatibility/safety with SuperNova? My computer also asked me if I wanted to connect to an unsecured website too..? ಠ_ಠ
Using the auto-expander on gopher specialists has an issue present from the previous version. The player must refresh their page or manually downgrade then upgrade gopher specialists for the change to be reflected.
Still on the fence about the new specialist map. The old orrery-style was pleasing to look at. However, the current one has certain points to it that I can appreciate. I must spend more time with the new map before I'm used to it, but I'm sure the utilitarian approach has perks that will shine through with more use. I can only speculate that the change would make it easier to add new specialist types since they are no longer required to fit on a small map. (that or the astrocartographer got sacked.. XD)
Losing all your diamonds after buying the accelerator boost is a bad mechanic and the game has earned a 1 star from me because of it.
I could have spent the diamonds on buildings, but because I spent the diamonds out of order, I wasted over half of my earned diamonds. I strongly suggest adding a dialogue box if you click it, confirming that you want to waste excess diamonds. This would give players a chance to spend them first. That or just do away with this atrocious mechanic that just causes pain and anguish to the player.
If this ever gets changed, I might be inclined to play again and change my vote.
The VIP mechanic is frustrating to me and dissuades idle gameplay. VIPs that run away when the player is idle should not bar the player from an attempt later when they return. Perhaps another attempt should be available after a certain period. The reattempt duration could be something like RetryTimer = StageLevel * 60 with the returned value being how many seconds must pass.
I feel like there's an issue with the timer for the prestige boosters. I should've had my prestige booster ready two hours ago, but had it running in a tab for the duration. It is now well passed that mark and I don't have the prestige booster. Also may or may not have missed out on some coupons too.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll look into this. You can hover over Prestige Boosters count on prestige screen to see how much time is left for the next one.
I think having the stage rotate briefly at the beginning of each level would encourage players to rotate the camera without having any explanation that you need to manipulate the camera in order to advance the game and while keeping the minimalist aesthetic.
I fell asleep with the game on a separate tab and only ended up getting one minute of offline time. If the tab isn't there, then I won't play the game. If the tab is there then I cannot idle.
Most browsers throttle background tabs. You have to run the game in its own window in order for it to work at full speed. You can just click and drag the tab out and it will make its own window.
This game should receive a higher rating than what it currently is now, in addition, the developer actually reads and responds to the comments so that's cool.
Really wish there was more information available. The current "hidden black box tooltip with very little info" system isn't really working. I want to be able to mouse over something and have it expand and tell me what does it give and what does it need. Not only do I want to know how much something costs, but I also want to know *what* it costs, faith, gold, stone... That could be fixed with colored text representing each separate value, or simply providing an icon in front of the number. Something or anything would be nice. I've been enjoying the game very much so and would love to see it updated again in the future.
Lot of thx NPC01. But really the game was crap at start :p I only can say thx at Kong community, cause a lot of people has helped me to improve it. Just now im with other little game, and in a couple of weeks ill do a total rebuild, with A LOT more of content. This is only the first layer of five :p
I beat the game in 50 minutes, so an upgrade somewhere really made things avalanche out of control. When I got all the achievements, the timer kept going. I would suggest stopping the timer once you get to that screen.
This is fixed in the most recent update (v1.0.6).
