Planning and strategy. Aka looking for the one trick pony move for each level. It's just ridiculous that maps marked 'easy' are incredibly hard due to enemies having 50+ armor. You can't even place new units as they get no xp and inflict no damage.
LOL, this game is stupidly hard. 'Easy' maps harder than the hardest in the original. Everything has ridiculous armor.
