Okay, I got to Proclaims. They are _huge_ game changers, removing a lot of the tedium that happens until then. In particular tracking and the massive new damage scaling just makes the game play much smoother.
I wonder if there's anything that can be done to improve the stretch from Wish to Proclaim without affecting the rest of the game too much...
Evasion stacks are definitely broken. Right now I'm in a 6+ minute (so far!) fight where my hit chance is 22%, and theirs... 1%. The enemy has over a 100 evasion stacks.
Basically, the length of a fight grows exponentially with enemy HP once evasion stacks are in. There needs to be a mechanic to counteract that.
(8 minutes now, still going.)
I killed the Survival boss. Fairly easy, but boring.
I used [Katana Lv. 4], [Handsome Blade Lv. 3], [Grenade Lv. 2], [Grenade Lv. 3], [Mystery Bounce Lv. 10], [Doppelganger Lv. 10], [Moon Beams Lv. 10], [Heaven's Blade Lv. 4].
The three highest damage dealers were Doppelganger (33k), Heaven's Blade (20k) and Grenade Lv. 3 (15k)
Basically cycling through the grenades and sword strikes to build up rage, then Doppelganger -> Mystery Bounce -> Heaven's Blade, and use Moon Beams only if REALLY necessary (below 250 Health and no Doppelganger available).
Yup, finished it. ~270 deaths on my first, last and only try. :P Also, it should technically be labelled "One Button", not "Mouse Only".
57 (the "yellow gauntlet", so to say) is hellish - I think 150 of my deaths or so are on this level. All the others are managable. :3
For the fourth CoT:
Retreat immediately when you hear the revenge wave signal. You *DON'T* want to trigger multiple revenge waves. Of course after a few seconds you can "Forward" all your units again. Just don't hit the castle.
Incredible game, but way too short and easy. Once you get Stun & Interrupt stuff you are practically invincible with a little tactics (interrupt healing and etherializing). The last boss is VERY easy when you have 2 protection from DoT. It was nice to play as something else than "warrior", "mage", "ranger, "super warrior", "ultimate mage" and "power ranger". Some of the statuses (dizziness!) were funny. I didn't like that the cooldown and cast time of your "main weapon" increased when upgraded - a gun should fire instantly, not after a second or two! I think light crossbow + damage upgrades is better than, let's say, plasma gun + damage upgrades, because you can fire more frequently.
I made it. I made it. I MADE IT! +60 points ;)
It wasn't so hard, in fact. You just need to train it over and over again and develop (your own) tactics for each part.
