Thanks for forcing me to start a new game and skipping the tutorial before I can mute the game. Nobody ever wants to turn the music off before they actually start playing the game.
I find it hilarious how people keep saying that this is a copy of Cookie Clicker and therefore somehow not any good at all. Cookie Clicker didn't invent idle games, and the mechanics of AdCap and CC aren't even that similar.
@jameksw1, offline mode doesn't require any client side save in order to work. The save keeps track of the time when you saved, and when you reload the game, it compares the current time with the save's time and calculates what you would have made in that period if you were playing. This could just as easily be done with cloud storage.
It feels like this game is really poorly balanced, it really needs some work to be good. You're supposed to try to hit batties...unless you're falling. Hitting them will give you an upwards boost, meaning you will hit the ground at a lower speed which will cause your bounce to be lower, making you hit the ground more often and stopping earlier. It feels like I should either hunt them or try to avoid them, not both. The prices of the launchers don't invite you to use all of them. I skipped two of them completely, as I realized the cost of upgrading them even to the point of my already owned launcher would be so ridiculously high it would be much faster to simply save up for the biggest one. Actively playing also really doesn't do much, the launch length seems to rely heavier on your luck than on your skills. This was sort of good though, as I could simply kick the critter and go to another tab to let him collect money and experience to finish the game.
While it's true that you'll keep the same profit if you buy the 1T AI upgrade at 1.1T, keep in mind that it's still 1T AI that you need to reearn. They don't reappear when you soft reset. Don't buy it unless your AI rate is enough to quickly regain what you lose.
Soft resetting doesn't solve the 500 of everything bug for me. I've tried it twice, with reloading the game in between. The angel investors also seem weird. At the first soft reset I gained way more than I expected to, sort of like someone suggested that we'd get the invested AIs back. The second time, I actually lost 3 billion AIs instead of gaining any. While I like the game and the new stuff, I would have preferred that you had ironed out the bugs before publishing. It feels like we're beta testing and not playing at the moment.
Downvoting my comment won't make me less right. Changing the order in which you purchase upgrades does not change the final income. Please don't try to make the devs address a non-issue.
No, upgrading the AI before x3 does not make any difference whatsoever to your final income. That's the beauty of multiplication. 3 x 5 is exactly the same as 5 x 3.
The game is poorly balanced. Being active means basically nothing late game. Can't idle it in a tab. No indication whatsoever whether or not I bought the "buy once" upgrades. Dev seems to avoid answering uncomfortable comments, such as the tab issue. I'm disappointed as I really enjoy idle games most of the time.
I will do this. Thank you for the feedback.
