Came back after ages to see if my old profile was here, since I played this back before it became a totally money focused mobile game, but I see it's just an ad now... guess I'm updating my rating.
It'd be nice if we could use potions whenever we want, rather than you having two men down and it going "None of your units need any consumables at this time." Let me be the judge of whether or not they need consumables!
Oddly enough, I found the Hardened difficulty to be easier than the Regular difficulty.
I just spammed Riflemen to cover (and to distract the enemy) either Tanks or Bazookas, with a few Assault teams flung in there. Didn't bother with Snipers, Officers, or Mortars, too costly for too little gain.
Can't even get past the tutorial. When I close off the transmission, everything on the screen gets shaded and I can't click on anything.
I've tried refreshing a few times, but it just ends up doing the same thing.
OK, I tried out a few of the various different hard-badge strategies, and the one that worked the best was @MGrashalmS's (kudos!). Aka: Shapes: abstract. - Pattern: radar. - Motion: left or right. - Randomize: off.
The boss becomes super easy if you make sure you leave no attack moves for him to use, for he'll always go for attack first. Always go for 4x combo. Collect rage when it won't leave you open to getting attacked on the bosses turn. Don't bother with healing (unless it's a 4x combo), it heals far too little to counter the damage taken at this point. Let the timer run out when; you can't shield and counter (prioritizing shield if you have a choice between the two and can't do both), or you can't attack, this leaves the boss with crappy tiles and in the position to shuffle the board pieces around for your turn.
Didn't think much of this at the start, but since it was trivial to continue, I did; I was pleasantly surprised by how the story slowly unfolded, and the characters who joined me along the way. All in all, kudos, Mr. developer! I'm looking forward to a sequel!
Had to go and look up the 2nd to last puzzle. I thought each section of 4X4 was supposed to have 1 of each colour in that order... Then it turned out to be really really simple. Aw well... Aside from that, it was a cute little game. :)
Thank you! Mist said she'll come to thank you in person! :D
