The problem I wrote about before has been fixed. However, the loading bar now sticks at 0% after completing Episode 8's final battle, at the underground station.
Interesting combinations are possible. I personally beat the game with two glass builds:
1. [Protocol EMIYA] Archer, Omega, Excalibur, Mercury
Note: While Rhino and Excalibur seem like the ideal duo, in reality, without the movement bonus of Mercury it proved difficult to secure melee kills in faster waves. Plus, without a ranged buff dealing with bosses and BladeMech waves proved difficult.
2. [Protocol MetalStorm] Mjolnir, Dual Rippers, Locusts, Mercury
Note: This build is incredibly fragile, but you become a white flamethrower of death- as long as you are holding down X, the screen is being filled with your weapons fire. Anything not a boss will get instagibbed by this sort of bullet storm.
Shark gun. Better than minigun of death, gauss gun, blimp bomber, nade launcher, automatic rifles.
Remote Control. No, not a corny Ion Cannon Strike, instead a fearsome Flying Cyborg Dinosaur armed with Gattling Laser, Rocket Launcher Cells, and Intergral Mechanized Jaws.
Played it on Kongregate, feels incredibly rushed. Very buggy. Enemy AI code is derpy.
Cute and reminds me of JA2, but I wish we had a way to Save/Load, transfer weapons outside of using crates, and perhaps customize our loadouts for defense mode (making completing the campaign a reward?)
Has great potential, but I doubt it will ever reach it.
