It's funny that on a video about censorship and free speech, the comments section is filled with comments that are removed because they are "under rating threshold".
I agree with all the ideas in the game but the presentation felt way too obvious to me. Rehashes of Orwell's 1984 are fine, they're just very cliche.
In the campaign we should be able to decide who joins us on any mission. My team keeps making me lose. For example, on the second to last Alien mission I'm really on fire at the start of the game. Look at the scoreboard: my team is losing 15 to 11. Look at my team, one of my dumbspawn alien teammates has one kill, 10 deaths, and 2 suicides for a total point score of -1. :l
The weakness of your team gets a little frustrating at the end of the alien campaign. I end deathmatches with a 10 point spread between kills and deaths and we still lose by four frags. Great game otherwise though.
To beat Cruel Calamari:
1. Max defense upgrade - 2. Against first stage: match rage until meter is almost full. Save the rage attack for the boss's last stage. Don't match defense unless it will give you a 4 or 5 match. - 3. Against final stage: Scan the grid for matches with the following priority ordering: 5 match>4 match>defense>special attack>attack>rage>energy>health. ----> A lot of luck is still involved, but I think this strategy maximizes your effectiveness.
Maybe I'm playing the game weirdly but I'm finding that spamming Spear Towers with a few tactical mist towers is the most effective strategy for every level (I've got the anti-air pet).
Here's a simple suggestion that would greatly improve the game: Drag body ability: After killing the boss, you can pull his body anywhere you want to hide it from the guards. It either cost energy or make it so you move slowly and can't use invisible or super speed.
It's much harder that #2 but in a very good way. Really the largest fault is that the guards' red vision wedges are not obstructed by obstacles so it can be difficult to tell what the guards can actually "see." In fact, I think if just that was fixed, this would be nearly just as good as the sequel.
Really great game. It would be nice if there was an option to change the difficulty. Even if only by changing the number of hours on the clock. I think it's a tad on the easy side as is.
