Wonderful game. Could we perhaps get the credits for the music listed in the game as well?

I'm not missing that it's a 1v3v3. I kept track of which AI were on which team in a few attempts not to provoke one of the teams while I went after the other. Didn't stop them from dropping everything to wipe me out a few rounds after finding me, even when they had extensive borders with opposing AI territory.

Developer response from FizzerWL

There's a random factor to the AI behavior too, so sometimes you just get unlucky. I promise the code doesn't tell it to go after the human player :)

So I've gone and played another three rounds on crazy since my last comment, and the AI consistently targets me much more harshly than other AIs. Ignoring the game where I got sandwiched between the different members of one team, it doesn't seem to matter whether I attack first or even defend my borders heavily or not. Even when they have other targets, they prefer to overwhelm me with massive armies rather than take shots at each other. This last game the enemies even preferred me over untaken territories that would've given them extra armies each turn. I say again, this game direly needs a fairer AI.

Developer response from FizzerWL

I think you're missing that Crazy is a 1v3v3. Some of the AIs are teamed up with each other - those AIs will actively work together.

Direly needs a fairer AI. Playing crazy right now, just found out about the history option after the game ends (so need a surrender option), and got to see how the AI opponents would throw 2-4 armies at each other (if they attacked the opposing team at all) while throwing 20+ per turn at me. I already felt cheated in each loss before, now even moreso since I know what's going on behind the fog.

Developer response from FizzerWL

The AI doesn't even look at the IsHuman flag - they treat you no differently than they'd treat another AI. They must have perceived you as a bigger threat.

I'm impressed. This game manages to make every single death feel like I was cheated out of the game. Between the spazzy movement, abysmal layering (enemy bullets hide behind enemies, enemies hide behind treasure chests), incredibly abusive enemy spawning, and absolutely atrocious collision detection on the player's ship, this is the worst game I've played in months. Absolute garbage.

Interesting concept, fun game up until the end, but the boss is crap due to the artificial difficulty added when the action dims to the point where I can't see the ball just when I'm trying to get into position. If not for the boss battle, I'd have called this a good game.

So... Autosave doesn't auto-save? Red platforms randomly disappear for no apparent reason once they're offscreen below you? Once you evolve, you can't go back (without starting the game over), meaning if you overwrote your save since you evolved you're out of luck, and completing the chart requires two additional playthroughs of the game (artificial replay value sucks). The chances of each evolution are not based on current stats, as the game suggests, but rather the amount of each ore you currently have. This leads to some rather unbalanced odds, as beast ores seem incredibly common, and botanical ores incredibly uncommon... which would be excused, there were a way to discard ore or re-evolve without having to start over, as otherwise the only way to steer evolution is via save file abuse. Not a bad game, but not great by any measure.

Though there are no White Castles in my area, I think this promotion is great. It's the kind of thing I enjoy seeing around Kongregate. As for the game, though... it's not bad, but it gets old REALLY fast for me. Also, the "end game" option doesn't allow score submission, so my entire first game was irrelevant as far as the challenge/badge go, something that is incredibly irritating and almost enough to send me away immediately. How that hasn't been fixed in over 3 years on the site is completely beyond me.

Decent game. Fun concept, well executed. The only problem I'm having, contrary to Dyrak, is hitbox issues. I can't seem to reliably grab onto bombs, especially when ascending in height. Also, when coming back to the game you shouldn't be automatically playing the moment the game loads! I'm getting hit with bombs before I can even move my browser's focus to the game! Starting the game at the pause menu would be a MUCH better option.

A perfect example of why I hate luck-based achievements. It'd be better to have the badge be either 3mil in one shot or some endurance-level total distance, that way you can get the badge by putting in enough work to get the badge with a chance to luck out of it rather than being required to luck into what is apparently an exceptional set of circumstances for it. There's only so much patience one can have when continually hitting a wall of spikes at 2.7 million with more than enough to make it well passed the badge.
