It could really use a guide to show how much power you are currently putting into your shot.
The further you are from the cannon the stronger you shoot.

Honestly, the shield thing should be changed. Its really hard to keep, and a single bullet that hits you right after its recharged puts it into a recharge cycle again, which kind of sucks.
