Showed up for the BotD, failed to get it, but kept playing to try to figure out this confusing game and why so many were raving about it. Figured out both :)
Twice now, I've sent out a mission before logging off. When I come back, the mission never sent. I'm not keeping this game on for 2 1/2 hours just to complete a mission. If that's the case, I'm done.
the game auto-saves every 8 seconds on your local computer and every 2 minutes on your cloud. If you are in a hurry to close the game go to Settings and do a manual save before exiting the game!
Vault of Yendor lvl 16: "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO JUMP IN THE PIT?" Sure! Maybe it's a hidden level or something... "YOUR LEVEL 14 BARBARIAN FELL TO HIS DEATH IN THE VAULT OF YENDOR" :(
Was about to die after being ambushed by a large group. Stepped into a teleport trap and ended up in an empty room, safe from harm. First time for everything, LOL!
OMG... finally got the hard badge WITH A BARBARIAN of all things! Right after that, I beat it with a warrior. Now I'm trying mages and found out I really suck at playing those :/
Getting better but I still haven't beaten it... one request: if you happen to pick up a tome containing talents you already had to begin with, can instead credit 1 talent point in its place? Pretty please? Or at least give me a way to sell it?
Thank you for all the advice. Made it lvl 9 before I died. It helps to think of it more like chess than to just go for all the kills :) Still, being surprised surrounded/attacked at early levels is frustrating
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I rarely make it past lvl 2, never have seen any merchants, trainers, or priests, and rarely find any equipment. Rats nests, or being jumped by swarms of enemies take me out or no food appears and I starve to death. I've been playing for days now, trying different characters. Maybe I'm just unlucky? I'm ready to just give up.
I don't like math puzzles, but I really enjoyed this one! I, for one, am glad 1 isn't automatically in the hexagons. That way I know if I've worked on that part or not. Part of the "hard" is finding the secret puzzles... and honestly it's just a matter of looking for them.
Having widely different puzzles and arcade type mini-games, you have figure you're going to come across at least one you hate and/or suck at. I personally found three.
Progress erased, had to start over. You get 5 stars for frustration :p. Honestly though... between that and the repetitiveness of having to replay huge chunks of a level over again, when I die I am thisclose to giving up on this game.
Uselessly adding the same complaint... but it IS super frustrating to have to replay an entire level especially after continually battling a difficult part involving timing. Still a great game tho.
Haha what a plot twist :) Thanks for sticking around. There's a lot of new concepts so it's understandably a bit foreign.
