Had the fourth bombs upgrade for both arms, then switched to the third upgrade for boomerangs. When I went to switch back to bombs, I no longer had those upgrades.
It seems like there's some kind of problem relating to framerate here. My comp lags a bit on this game and I can get swarmed by bullets easily. For the moments that it the framerate comes back up, though, the enemy fire is not near as bad.
I kinda want to like this game, but at the moment frame-skipping is ruining the fun. I have the quality set to low, and it still doesn't solve anything. =/
Great game, although a few things I noticed:
1. King Snake seems to bug up at times: I've had runs where after collecting a few pellets the "collectable" pellets stop moving, yet other times everything seems fine. I certainly don't want to rain on everyone's parade, so I won't encourage you to fix it or anything. XD
2. I managed finally to beat all the scores you set, and unlocked... uh, "0o0" at the bottom next to the menu buttons. And when I click it... I get some sort of password? Could you elaborate, please?
Completed the puzzles just fine up until Eve, and now every puzzle I do freezes when I solve it.
I can tell it's solved since the cursor changes to show a blank on the tip (as opposed to a block or an x), but nothing happens. Tried starting a new game, and the same thing happens.
@biancoverde: You don't have to stop all platforms. As far as I know, only the last platform needs to be stopped. Also, I've managed (with pixel-perfect aiming, evidently, as it surprised me when it happened) to NOT headshot the other two zombies, throwing them into the saw blades for an extra 1000 each. On top of that, one of those two grabbed the brains for me. Needless to say, this is one of those pixel-perfect levels that will frustrate to no end.
A few notes of my own for the developer:
1. Apparently competing in any of the non-regular cups (Rising Star or Bronze) from the get-go messes up the tournament schedule such that one of the seasonal cups disappears and is... I suppose replaced by a duplicate.
2. The training monster's scale with yours, yet the rival trainers' (and the tournament monsters, to a lesser extent) don't? This really skews the difficulty, not to mention how experience gets awarded.
3. About experience: Tournaments yield comparatively little experience (although I was glad to see it increase somewhat as I went up the ranks) to the rival's monsters, which gets outrageous when your monster can one-shot the rivals just a little ways into the game. Also, I noticed using in-training items that grant experience grant it TWICE: It's first added directly into the experience calculation, then as a bonus. That's too much, IMO, and contributes to the game's difficulty issues.
I'd like to suggest taking out the possibility for two spike walls to sit DIRECTLY across from each other. If they span 3 blocks or more, it's just about impossible to get around them, assuming you haven't built up speed.
Is anyone having problems with getting the ingame achievements for building your own castle and playing others' castles? I am. Is there a fix for this?
A bit of a minor issue, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see a way to get the ingame achievement for maxing the dragon tamer job. I started it RIGHT after my apprentice turned 17, when he'd just rested the day before (to get 0 stress to start). By age 18, he had 75ish complete. Am I missing something here, or is this literally impossible?
I could... ;)
