Another gimmick that would help improve the game: Have the option of re-randomizing the board every once in awhile, like if one deletes a certain square or combo of squares, or if one has reached a certain score (it really sucks when the board for the next level comes up with nothing but crap)
This could really be fixed up, like giving a bonus for clearing the whole board, or including wild squares or other specials. May as well considering that most of the games on Kongregate are now defunct.
Does anyone know what will become of Kongregate after Google Chrome stops supporting flash? Will other web browsers continue to support it? I've tried to ask Kongregate management about this, but as usual I get a flag saying my email address is invalid (which it isn't).
Easy way to kill bosses (I'm not done yet, have encountered 3 so far, and all killed the same way: 1. Get the rocket launcher/bazooka. 2. The guy always starts near an armored car, so when you find the boss, run back towards the car and it will follow. Get on the opposite side of the car from the boss, then inch around enough to hit him with the blast from the rockets. It'll take 3-4% off his life with each hit, but he'll just stand there until he's dead. May as well say that my favorite part of this game is totally splattering enemies, although it bothers me a little that I enjoy splattering dogs so much.
Also may as well mention that in order to activate most of the eagle eye skills, tap Z while holding down the space key. I was more than halfway through the game before I found that out.
Good to remember that you're better off with only two members of the search party, as increased numbers increase the odds that they will be seen by zombies, and in increase in party deaths and lost morale. (Also those fat old zombie ladies in the blue dress are the worst.)
(If you're totally stuck on the 2nd clue, which is the last one to find for some reason, go to the broken window, and then to the broken chair, and then you'll automatically ask Dr. Sigh about it, thereby providing you with the proof you need to extort info out of Madam Augustus.)
OK, I just won the game on my 9th try, 4th with necromancer. Did it with beefed up MP and an army of skeletons. Good to have cannibalism, and as many scrolls, potions, and other tricks as possible for the last few levels. Also lucked out and found a vampyric war hammer.
Ha, I finally won the game in only 1221 minutes. My advice is that if you find a wishing well, wish for scrolls. Save up as many scrolls (and potions, and mushrooms) as you can for the last few levels, because you'll probably need them.
