Dregg Moriss vs. Trey O'Malley Dash: The Battle of the Century
Also, we know why Dregg hates the post office, but now that the joke has popped into another game's universe... it makes me wonder if VasantJ secretly hates the P.O.
Betting the robot we play as killed that other android. I mean, we can't look into other drawers or crates etc and we only seem to think pieces of glass are valuable. The glass could've been hidden by 'us' and the game is just retracing how we murdered CP3O over there.
"You are win." You bet your butt I am. I really really REALLY enjoyed playing this game. Never imagined it to engage me so quickly but all the upgrades and the tunnel-ish exploration got me hooked fast. Plus, the backtracking helped a ton. Not gonna lie, I did end up teleporting like crazy when I couldn't find the dig spot for the well, but such is the price to pay for easy backtracking haha
There was no background SFX so theatre music came into mind the moment I stumbled into the "A Duck's Best Friend" ending. Awesome game and awesome Dolly Parton reference.
I love the spooky Grim Reaper clouds in the background of the first ending. (By first ending I mean the first ending marked on the main menu, not my first ending.) Love the different endings :D
YES YES YES. I don't know what the genre of these types of games are but I love them and hope more devs like you continue making them. I wish I knew what these games are called or if there even is a name for it yet because it incorporates so many different aspects that it gets muddled together. I come for the story, but usually, the idea of "visual novels" are POVs with pictures coming into focus to talk to you. Then there are the graphic elements of an RPG I find make a story compelling since you can also control the character and examine their environments. Except, it isn't an RPG since there aren't random turn-based battles that slow down the story progress. I wish I knew what the genre is called :/
Also, props to the dev for the really sweet details. I was able to talk to practically all the NPCs before confronting the guy on the bridge. Small bits like that can be overlooked, so I love the entry effort and TLC put into this game! I hope the dev makes more games like this <3
Thank you, Niqx, for your appreciation! Episode 2 is already on Kongregate, and I am preparing the third one.
I think you may define this type of games "story-based RPGs".
I can only hope for an update if this game will continue or not because this is a pretty story. Honestly, it could even be developed into a movie or novel if it isn't already.
This character must have bulky arms if they can carry an ANVIL like its no big deal but bony legs if they can't kick down a ROTTING DOOR. I wondering if the third segment will come in.
For the people who made the top comments in 2012/2013, I hope you're satisfied that the devs made an updated version:
