Funny though, I actually got the last boss on maybe the 7th or 8th level and just flew through the rest of the maps untill I found a boss
Skills are unbalanced.
Level 5 fire skill (targets all) never misses, does tons of damage and usually stuns opponents.
Level 5 energy skill = Instant win skill. Used it in the final battle, poof dead.
Or how how about the regen skill from water? Heals crazy amount of HP for 5 turns, unless they 1 hit kill you, you'll have full health every round
I don't like how the difficulty is used. If you play let's say one of the challenge missions that are human vs human and you'll notice that their units even have better range. If it came down to Ion cannon vs Ion cannon the results were always the same, mine never even had the chance to fire on them, and they were fully upgraded.
The computer also seems to enjoy targeting. If you have a ion cannon or missle frigate behind several scouts/whatever, guess what? They ignore the scouts and take out the heavy units while mine target the first available.
Hey guys, the saves aren't lost. They've changed directory. Just make a new save and copy paste the old files to the new directory and you'll get them back

As I said, just move the files between the directories and reload the game and you've got them back
Hydras on epic mode are just pure luck if you beat them or not.
They hit me with 4 instant death attacks in a row.
There's just no way of stopping them

Natamora, ... it's level 78 you have to beat to get the badge? i am wizard level 98 (only) and only got like 6-7 of the 14 level 7 gems. i don't think i'll put in a few more weeks of repetitiveness for the lest badge. what wizard level are you? "
I beat it at lvl 65. Isn't really that hard.
The game is unplayable. My first save disappeared for some reason. So I played chapter 1, completed it, started chapter 2. Saved maybe 3 times untill the first boss, the last one just before. Died and the saves are completly gone again, didn't even reload the game.
The key to beating the game is quite simple
When playing a map, in the beginning try to use splash or chain, depending on gem level, let some waves come out at the same time. Put all your mana into upgrading it
When it's time to upgrade, everytime you reach number of basic/medium/advanced starter gems, reset and fill it up
When you have maxed medium starter gems, you can start to get gold frames in the beginning, and maybe unlock 2 hidden levels, when you notice that you have a hard time getting the frame, just continue playing untill you get advanced starter gems.
Beat the last boss after he had only been on 50% of the map, didn't have to banish him or throw gembombs.
