If you ever decided to raise the ranks, a suggestion to blacksmith would be 50% Fail causes no change and the alternative drops it to +0. The risk to ruin epic gear just doesn't seem worth it just to have it destroyed.
I do want to suggest giving the EXP a darker color. Also, would it be possible to have the current inventory at the top of the item list? No point in seeing how many items you have if the limit at the bottom of the list.
I have to agree that something seems very off about your RNG. Twice in a row I've failed at the +2 chance. I cannot be extremely angry considering there are games where players have to pay real cash to improve their gear with that chance at failure.
Everything is fine and dandy before you hit Corporate Capacity 3. Then the salary multiplies by 10 and you can barely stay out of the red when that happens unless you bank up about 150k for more sales employees to get more merch out there.
This is an EXTREMELY unique game. Great job for changing up the boring TD genre! I'd like to see a bigger gather radius when your creatures are killed though. Hard to move the mouse over infamy/mana spheres when they're tiny dots.
As nerdook said, you really should play past stage 7 to truly judge this game and get as high of a score as you can. There is much more to do after stage 7.
