for all people wondering here is a list of things i found
1. more workers/scientists -> bigger money cap
2. you can assign scientists by keeping your mouse down on a research after getting scientists
3. you can automate/sell other things then stones by keeping your mouse button down on the thing you want to sell/automate

Any item can be sold automatically, just press shopping bag in the item page.
