After playing over 30 games, I can safely say the #1 thing you can do to improve your gameplay is to use your environment to fight the enemy. If there is nearby water or a pile of bones, kite the enemy back so that you can attack them while they are on the unstable ground (All attacks critically hit targets that are on the unstable ground). Kite enemies through the explosive mushrooms and use the explosive pots. Kite a ranged enemy around a corner and ambush them as they come close enough. Funnel a horde of enemies through a narrow passage to take them on one at a time. Throw projectiles at ranged enemies from afar, especially when they are in the water which causes you to critically hit them. Also, don't forget to switch weapons depending on your situation. You can change from a two-handed sword to a spear to hit an enemy that just began to run away from you. That really sums up the critical elements of strategy in this game.
Just a small improvement for convenience: Can you make it so that if I drag a ring onto the 1st 2nd or 3rd slot, the ring is actually replaced and not automatically replaced into the fourth slot? I find it slightly annoying to unequip ring #2 and drag on the ring I want to equip rather than just placing the ring ontop of the ring I want to replace.
Suggestion: Have a finished auctions list in the auctions tab. I think this is a good idea because it's useful to keep track of your won auctions even if you will dismiss the notification of "auction for (13) Wicked Sword ended by buyout (300)" It still is important to know whether the auction was bought out or bid out. You have a "Won bids" list too, so why not?
Although hans is getting - voted below me, I do understand his want for a better number system here. Maybe there should be a toggle like Tangerine Tycoon where you can change the notation(ie e^09, Trillion, T, anything that makes it easier to read) but that's just a suggestion.
Since the tower AI has improved and does not attack any cube more than it needs to, this renders the missile projectile speed useless unless there is a moment when you are about to lose and your tower is just fast enough with the projectile speed to kill a cube and let you live with a shred of HP. Long story short, smarter tower AI make missile speed near useless.
Bug Report -- When on pause (0x) scrolling over an upgrade box will cause the box not to tell what it does. e.g. "Chance to have almost no cooldown on an attack" won't show on 0x, this applies to any other box.
I should be able to see what I get when I buy something. It seems kind of obvious after you buy the same thing a few times (+0.5, +0.5, +0.5) but it would really help if I was buying something new and didn't want to waste money on something I thought was going to be more useful. Maybe put a +X.X when I scroll over an upgrade? Just my input.
Good tip for beginning, buy a stable then a cow shed. Stable allows you to buy knights and not get slaughtered by the extremely steep enemy unit curve, and also the cow shed increases your max food for year, and is cheap and best bought early
Instead of just complaining about lag, I'm going to insist you add more graphics options. I do suffer very slightly from the lag. Enough to make me miss some shots I wouldn't have.
I'll get downvoted to hell but why does rhysc101 claim to be the developer of this game when someone else's name is under the developer on the game tab in Kongregate API?
I don't mean to be "That guy" but I think an option to replace periods with commas instead would be a good option for american users. Instead of 100.000 it will be 100,000 because 100.000 = 100.
Quick tip: If you want to play double or nothing easier, just deposit your money in stocks and split it in whatever you want. 1/4, 1/2, 1/8, and so on and so forth and then you have backup money.
The biggest problem about this game, and there aren't many, is the fact that you can't run away from the battle using arrow keys. Many times have I tried something too risky and scrambled for the mouse only to see me die and have to restart.
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, will be added along with the improved tooltips. :)
