Not only does it have a twist, but it leaves it open for a sequel. (Don't tell me he couldn't have survived. If he can land a fall that lasts nearly ten seconds, he can take a little pokeypoke on top of that) My only complaint is that the last level seemed to depend on the checkpoints very heavily to continue. Beyond that, 5/5. (Great choice on the music, btw. Very appropriate!)
Obviously there's going to be some who love the game and those who don't. I understand that this was inspired by another game, and though I wish I could have played THAT game, sadly, I have yet to do so. That being said, this game is a wonderful little platformer in and of itself. There are some jumps that are just insane. I love that I have to zoom out and get a feel of where I'm going, and then sometimes, that just isn't enough. Then, imagine my surprise when I'm jumping past a gigantic eyeball and then suddenly, after impaling my sword into the ground, it pans out and I'm at the top of a gargantuan creature which I have just slain! Love the idea! (Talk about a Living Level!) Furthermore, if you stick through to the end, the finale is just perfect.
Some people are wondering, and I see that the developer has already addressed this, but I thought I'd repost for anyone else who reads the comments before the instructions; (Edit:
•Reply to some comments: Yes, game is titled “Space Hammer 2”, because its another version of my first game. You can visit my profile and play “Space Hammer (beta)” and “Space Hammer”. As you’ ll see versions are different, but you can’t call it a different game.)
Sincerely,
Noob
