it autosaves kills every time you kill something, you know. you shouldn't have been reset if you had more than 1 life left, as it requires you to press space to respawn.
it's a good game, but as i was trying to get out of the demon area on first episode, i would die to 2 or 3 guys, 1 or 2 of which were longswordsmen. when i respawned, every time, another one came along. once i got into a jam, it was nearly impossible to get out
