Holy Monkey this game is great! I did run into an issue; act 3 day 2, the wraiths and spirits were no longer hit by my sticky ball or fire cracker torch once the torches in the middle burned out. I relit them, but for the rest of the round they projectiles just flew past the bad guys. Replayed the level with no problem (though I didn't use the fire crackers that time). Regardless, this game is amazing. Keep it up.
I give this +1,000,000 stars for the Malazan Book of the Fallen reference. Also it's fun and funny and worth the time spent. But mostly the Moon's Spawn reference.
I have a system that has pretty much gotten me golds through the first 16 missions.
1. Place factory in central location. 2. Buy 2-3 trucks 3. Upgrade factory as you are able. 4. Select only deliveries that will give you the most profit (Take the difference between the payout amount and the cost, which is the number that pops down when you mouse over it) I refuse to make deliveries that profit me less than 10. The only exception is if it is the last delivery for a site (0/1) because that gives you a bonus.
I don't buy additional factories (so I also saved upgrades on cheaper factories), and I don't really care what the competition does. In fact, because I am selective in which contracts I take, the competition tends to take the ones that would profit me less. You can actually deliver for a loss.
I love the art and play styles, but an error I ran into: I could not switch out two of my spells, Fear and Blink (slots 3 and 4 respectively). I could remove them from the hotkey slot, but I could not put a different spell in the slot. Now they have both disappeared entirely from the spell slots while I am playing, but they appear as if they were in inventory slots. I can still use the hotkey to cast the spell, but they seem to be taking up both an inventory slot and a spell hotkey slot.
I have a screenshot if you want to see what the trouble is.
Liked what I was able to play, but tried to load up the evolution screen and it froze on me. Also had the same trouble with the customization screen when I tried to change the color.
Interesting idea. This game could have been really good, but it's just too random. I started one round and one of my guys instantly gets dropped to the ground with 7 life left, apparently he had a faulty heart valve or something. Also, the nazis don't give a damn that I am shooting them, they just run past. It still needs some work, oh, and having the buttons floating over playable space is almost unforgivable.
I guess I am unclear on how to beat 11 when the AI starts with 5 times my forces and has larger bases so they regen faster than I can.
I am all for a challenge, but I will pass on an ass beating. Thanks.
Thank you a lot for your nice comment :D
