Perhaps the best game I've seen on this site in 3+ years.
Thoughts for an expansion/sequel: Perhaps have some sort of leveling/experience/upgrading possible for the people and for the structures (Fixed guns, improved labs, wine making facility, etc?) Also maybe have some folks dedicated to working the farms to improve the amount/quality of food?
Controls seem to occasionally just stop working...you'll be in the middle of a turn (to line up a shot or to dodge) and then suddenly it just stops and you take a broadside instead of a glancing blow or dodging.
Easy enough to finish in 5 days and here is how: Complete the first day. On day two do not hit the next button when it totals up your score, reload/refresh the page with the webbrowser button. You will still be on day two but have the money you collected on your previous attempt. Make your upgrades and repeat until you are maxed out. Then you can finish every level in 1 day. You can't finish every level in one day as you have to "land" before you can move on to the next level.
The sound in this game needs to mute when you hit mute. It's a fair game, but I'll not play it again as it overwhelms my music coming out of my speakers.
