Bowser has always been the final boss in classic mario games which this is based off. You don't even have to kill bowser in the original Super Mario Bros. you just jump over him and hit the axe to drop the bridge from under him. Mario is strong. You are weak.
This is too frustrating due to you having to perfectly time every mouse press for 1:30 straight and no checkpoints. You just fail if you're off by a tiny bit and all the hard work and perfect timing leading up to that is thrown into the gutter. It feels like a slap in the face. I've beaten the first stage but instant fail mechanics have never been fun to me. I see you were straying away from the percent completion mechanics purposely though, and for that 4/5. Easy mode where there's checkpoints or some sort of forgiveness mechanic for the casual gamers would probably net you more plays and a higher rating. You're kind of forced to play on hard mode because that's how it is by default :p
Changing to 1 star until a lag fix is implemented. Such a great game ruined by it. I've been unable to get through level 3 without running into a fight in over 100 attempts. The game doesn't react to keyboard commands when the lag comes which is 95% of the time which makes you miss crucial jumps.
When the skill of the game comes from making well timed jumps, and you're unable to even jump when you want then it's a bad game. Please fix because I did like this and would give it 5 easily with no lag.
This game has insane lag issues. It seems collecting the currency fishy lags up the game. I know my PC isn't the issue, I'm running with an i5, mid tier nvidia card, and 8gigs of ram. I have tried lowering quality using right mouse click settings but no help, game still lags up. It's still playable but really kills some of the fun factor, at this point im just playing a lagfest for my last 15 points.
I did change to a 3/5 after realizing you just need to run around in circles hoping you don't mis click in order to get the high scores past 150. Issues still remain that there's too many dead sprites on the screen and I was having performance issues. Not going to post my pc specifications but I'm accustomed to play newly released games on ultra settings, not having my computer hiccup on "Dojo of Death" lol :P
1/5. Dieing at around 100-120 simply because of the dead sprites all over isn't very much fun. Giving up on badge. Perhaps a max sprite limit would make it more enjoyable. Without being able to see your enemies past 50 kills because of dead sticks on the ground it just becomes a clusterf--k of mad dashing and hoping you don't die from an enemy you can't see.
Uhhh.... Sorry but I have to give this game a 1 star rating for this reason. I played through this game prior to badges and rolled through it quickly. However a couple days later the game dev patches it and badges are added. I receive credit for the first two and go over to try "15 minutes in endless"... Are you serious? The enemies have about 10x their normal hp from story and I have max upgrades and talents. I was flooded by 4 minutes in with no hopes of clearing and lost by 5. There's no possible way a medium badge should be this hard and it must be a mistake on your part by over buffing endless. (Note: I cleared story on hard so it's not as if I'm going from easy to hard and complaining. I'm going from hard to impossible. The enemies are tuned so improperly in endless... Should be a 60 point impossible badge, not a freebie 15 for medium because this isn't attainable.
The turning tunnels on Hard are really fail. I've been running out of mouse space and crashing into the walls... It's pretty annoying considering I have to get 1000 on Hard
This game is so boring... You race players that just level up with you as you increase your stats so it doesn't get particularly easier and most if not all of the skill comes from memorizing tracks
Awesome game, I don't like how you start at "Max Level" with all your skills though. I started playing thinking after the first stage you lose all your powers or something. 5/5, although I'm not going to play it.
Increase your sensitivity!
