I stopped playing a few months ago because the saves randomly refuse to work. I came back 3 days ago... and this amazing game is still plagued with this annoyance. Please stop polishing your sparkling sword and fix this bug.
Okay, I now get a quite annoying bug: Let's say I have to destroy building 1, then 2, then 3, then 4. If my magicians happend to throw projectiles at the soldiers in building 2 before building 1 is destroyed, sometimes they accidentally destroy building 2, and building 1 becomes ignored - yet I don't get the upgrade building for the duration of the world! As a result, I cannot get the achievements for levelling up all my buildings, and am totally stuck until I move on to an other castle location.
I am currently at World 46, and here are my overall thoughs:
- The amount of ressources gathered from farming/mining/cutting down trees is absolutely unsignificant when compared with what you gather from killing monsters. you should either nerf the amount gathered from killing monsters (making the game too boringly slow), or increase the amount farmed (making it too boringly easy). I'd suggest a mix of the two.
- Keep the idea of the gems only available through dungeon maps, it adds an extra incentive: sacrify lumber and food production to be able to later build better structures and have better weapons.
- Blocking is absolutely useless, as the ratio blocked gets exponentially low: I think I am not able to block only 1 millionth or 1 billionth of the damage I receive. Please make it more balanced, as it is only useful for the first 2-6 worlds after you unlock it.
Otherwise, this game have good potential and interesting game mechanics.
"Lite version"... I am sad. Sure the devs have worked hard on this game, but getting the squad mode removed without any prompting is quite... awful. Perhaps could you instead put a countdown, like "once you finished a frontline mode, you have to wait X minutes before joining another one?"
This game is very good overall, but there is one thing leaving me confused: why offering the option to buy stuff with kreds if the game can be beaten in just 2 days? The "premium chests" idea, or the wheel of fortune, are typical mechanisms of a MMO destined to lure people into staying even after they beat the last boss. This game, however, ends way too quickly, with just a "congratulations, you won! now try the side quests you missed." message. And once the side quests are done, there is no reasons to stay, we just move to an other game. So this game is very good, just absolutely not worth giving a single kred for "mysterious premium items".
"Unity is crashing when I launch the game!" - Fix it by clearing your cookies and cache. "I cannot play in fullscreen anymore!" - During a game, press F11 to activate fullscreen mode.
Since the may 1st update, the game breaks and I get an error message "Unity have encountered an unexpected problem and must close" every time I try to load a level. Also, I cannot play in fullscreen anymore! Otherwise, the game is by far my favourite fps: no hassle with ammo, and you have to use your brains if you want to survive rather than just reflexes in other counter-strike like games.
The hardest part is this game isn't to survive... it is to click on your avatar until you find one who isn't as ugly as the others... It would've been better to let us choose rather than randomly refreshing the face, hair, glasses and mask.
1/5. As a comparison, Zombie Pandemic also have you wait for action point, but you have a total value of... 480 action points, meaning you can come and play more than 2 minutes a day.
The game have a very short lifespan... in fact, you get easily bored of it. Once you get all achievement (minus the secret one), you just play to unlock the special one. You realize what it is, and leave the game.
Otherwise, it is a very nicely done game. Just... short lifespan. :P
Sorry about that! Working on a fix!
