It's a little bothersome that the "Six Six Six" task doesn't read the numpad. Not a huge issue but it took me a lot longer than it should have because I tried that and it didn't work.
Got to say, not liking the not functioning achievements. Specifically job title achievements past a certain point are just not registering. Cute game, and I respect that you left the store out with it still being alpha/beta-y. Not bad, but there are certainly kinks to knock out.
Can you let us know which job title achievements aren't working specifically? We pushed a build that supposedly fixed them all but it's possibly we missed a couple. Help us out hime-sama!
Good game, sir. For suggestions I'd almost like view distance to go up a little, but I imagine the current limitation is set for a solid reason like memory leaks because of terrain generated on splits or something, but more reasonable to request would be that if you unlock a certain velocity, it'd be nice to unlock it on lower difficulties as well, so if you got stuck, you could go down a difficulty and work on getting used to the speed with less to worry about.
Maybe it's just me but I don't like that upgrading my ship to one with 2 slots means that my bullets fly off in different directions. I'd like it if hovering below something and shooting up at it would hit it and not have me hovering off to the side in sort of a silly manner.
I don't think that the problem with lasers is the timing of their activation but rather the speed at which they come at you. Usually in bullet hell games, you stream a constant flow of bullets slowly, then quickly at the end of the run where you start the other way to make a gap in the bullets to slide through. Lasers are too quick to really stream like that though, since they create a wall rather than something that can be controlled by steady movement.
I like the concept but a poor control scheme plus a multitude of bugs makes it so that your game really isn't worth the trouble of playing it. Of course, I'm not entirely sure that this is seen as an issue give the number of links to your website on the main menu alone, giving me the impression the game is just here to generate traffic and ad revenue
Ahh... Well... I like this game. it's decent enough. I suppose. The problem I'm seeing is that there's a serious issue with upgrading speed, and that is precision. For example, let's look at the boss in the desert. It has 2 modes of attack. One where it has lasers on both sides of it and sweeps back and forth. Players need to upgrade speed or they will more than likely take a good amount of damage from that attack, but if they do upgrade speed, they won't have a way to carefully dodge the spiral bullets. A lot of shmups have a focus button to allow for careful manuvering. It's not a bad idea to consider, sir.
I thought that like many meme games, it'd be relatively poor and disappointing. I don't think I'd ever been more wrong. It becomes relatively fast paced, and quite fun. Also I like the song, so it's a win/win.
I don't comment very often, but I'm a big fan of the genre and the designer in this case so I have to. Good job! You did very well capturing both the allure and the sense of impending doom that bullet hell provides.
A decent game though market trends are harsh. I agree there should be more of a bonus for meeting the orders, like extra silver, since we're not seeing any profit to actually delivering the tea. It's almost better to strictly trade opium.
In addition to the picking cards to use, I think one of the things that bugs me about this game is that as nice as some of the cards you get along the way are, the amount of power that one seems to gather while becoming as infamous as some of the descriptions of the battles imply. Maybe it's just me but half the time because of the theme to certain fights or the control opponents spamming an increase in cost and an inability to attack, I don't get past the first one or two cards in each row because should I wait to use a higher card, I lose.
I like the concept of these games, but the comments have a point. In level two, the look function doesn't even matter because you can't zoom out and the gravity of several stacked large planets will pull you in and you will lose.
