Gave up after 30 seconds. No clue how to play, and the how-to-play instructions were useless. I could not move or affect anything on screen. I can't even tell what a base looks like.
Getting attacked by the reaper is not instant death - but it does drain a health potion. Sometimes it's advantageous to have the Reaper around so it slays monsters between you and it.
That was intentional, and was put in because of a future content I was planning, however I might remove it because so many people get confused (understandably so!)
peanutman27, go to the candy screen, you'll see zeroes on the left. but go as if you were going to buy a candy, and you'll see tiny numbers under some of them. that's how many free ones you have of that type. Click on them, it won't eat gems if the number is one or higher. The new total will be reflected by the numbers on the left.
